We are a local school program called, "E.A.S.T" We have been working on building a Skate park in the community since around October 2015. Not many people are on this specific project, so the progress that has been made is flabbergasting. This project has been made possible by three specific people who have done nothing but work hard and devote the time out of their lives to make this dream, a reality. The three students are listed below:

Austin Harris"I joined the E.A.S.T. program because I had heard that it would further better me in the business department. Now that I have joined, I can personally say that this program lived up to its name. I have now become more social, when I used to be very shy. I can now make arrangements with bigger companies and not be afraid of messing up. This program has helped out tremendously.
I thought of the idea of the Skate Park due to my passion of skating. Spencer and I are the managers, and we had worked alone on this project for almost three months. Samantha had transferred to our school and had a passion of skating as well, so she had joined the project. We each put in so much work that it is unreal. We want to make this dream a reality." |
Samantha Thompson"Hello everyone, my name is Samantha Thompson and I'm a student at the Mountain View High School E.A.S.T. This is my first year in E.A.S.T meaning I'm an E.A.S.T 1 student. I joined E.A.S.T because I love to help the community in any way possible. Not only did I join because I love helping the community but because I felt it would help me become a stronger individual and a better problem solver. When I first moved here to Mountain View I continued to be involved in E.A.S.T, the first project I got involved in was the Skate Park Project. I joined because not only do I love skateboarding but I know a lot of other people who would love to try it out."

Spencer Sherman"I was skeptic of this course when I started but looking back now taking this class ,EAST, was one of the best decisions of my life. Most classes I felt were not suited for me, but this EAST class not only lets me work at my own pace, but also lets me work on what I feel is important in our community. Never have I experienced a class like this."
"This is our first major project as a team. and so far has been a huge success. Austin and I have worked for a entire school year on this project, and have almost single handily brought this project to the brink of success. Samantha came in later in the year and proved to be a very valuable accomplice in this team. I could not have asked for better partners and a better opening project. |
